St John the Baptist

A Georgian Church set in the middle of the Georgian St John's Square in the heart of Wakefield's Northern Conservation Area.

Built in 1795, St John's is a building of historic interest set in an area of Wakefield in West Yorkshire that was developed in the Georgian era. The church occupies the central position surrounded by St John's Square on three sides. The church has many original Georgian features as well as a significant Gothic style chancel added in 1905.
