St Peter

Cransford, Suffolk

Address

St Peter
Cransford
Suffolk
IP13 9NY

Built in 1260 the church was extensively restored in the C19th. Cransford has no school, shop or pub and the church is a focus for the community. A small congregation is keeping the church alive in this community. The tiles on the north face of the roof have developed severe delamination due to moss and frost action. The tiles are crumbling and water is likely to penetrate soon. Currently serviceable, there is now risk of severe water ingress if repairs are not done.

  • Church of England

  • Partnership Grant, £10,000, 2016

  • Our Partnership Grants funded a range of repair projects, recommended by County Church Trusts, to help keep churches open.

Framlingham, Suffolk

St Michael's stands between the centre of the pleasing little market town of Framlingham and the great curtain wall of its 12th century castle.

Dennington, Suffolk

Dennington's large 14th century flint church is imposing enough, but the outside gives little clue to the rare treasures inside.
