The church is built on the site of a Saxon church, replaced in 1876, with a large church (seats 250 people) set in its churchyard overlooking the Itchen River, on the edge of the village. It has beautiful stained glass, with memorials, windows and stone arches taken from the earlier church, and has been updated to provide toilets and a refreshment area.
