Completed around 1746, the church certainly catches the eye with its slender baroque spire and semicircular portico.
Some may consider the interior overpowering for rural Kent, with its Doric columns, a painted barrel vault and decorative cornices, plus a liberal helping of trompe-l'oeil work and some rather hectic stained glass.
Memorials that were preserved from the previous church include brasses and marble effigies.
