About Us
Our primary purpose is grant-giving: to raise funds and provide practical assistance to help finance structural repairs to churches, chapels, meeting houses and other places of worship in England and Wales. All the applications we receive are considered on an individual basis. We are operating the following grants programmes in 2008 to 2010:

  1. Cornerstone Grants – Grants of £40,000 and above for structural repair projects that will cost more than £50,000. A structural repair means essential work to the fabric of the building.

  2. Foundation Grants – Grants of £2,500 to £35,000 for structural repair projects. A structural repair means essential work to the fabric of the building.

  3. Community Grants – Grants for new facilities and improving access, e.g., new extensions, toilets, kitchens and wheelchair access. This category is currently under review. Details on the grants and how to apply will be available by September 2008.

Since the Trust was founded in 1953, it has been committed to preserving places of worship for future generations. In the 21st Century we remain committed to that aim, but we are also developing in a way which will see us take an increasingly active and innovative role.
